This award grants up to $5,000 to an ENVS/AOS/SEP/EAS major participating in undergraduate research with a faculty mentor.

ENVS/AOS/SEP/EAS majors currently working on undergraduate research with an EAS faculty member or interested in starting undergraduate research with an EAS faculty member are strongly encouraged to apply.

This funding can be used for student stipend, research supplies, field work, and conference expenses. To apply, please email the following to Dr. Jennifer Glass (Jennifer.Glass@eas.gatech.edu):

  • A research proposal - one-page research proposal should provide the project title, objective, research plan, and expected results.

  • A budget - include any student salary, supplies and materials, field work, and/or conference expenses.

  • A supporting letter from your faculty mentor (may be sent separately).

The EAS Undergraduate Curriculum Committee evaluate applications on a rolling basis.
